A Different Kind of Haunted Tour

Our Halloween haunts are wholly family-friendly, crafted to charm and chill children, parents, and even the most unflappable of grandparents. You’ll find no blood, no roaring chainsaws, and no grotesque horrors from the blackened depths—only spooky revelry, delivered with a wink, a cackle, and the warm glow of theatrical mischief. Think of it like a haunted house if it were directed by Mel Brooks. That’s the Riddlesbrood style. We specialize in kitschy, comical, campy and slightly spooky setups that deliver thrills without crossing the line into anything graphic or disturbing. While very small children might still get a little spooked (and that’s part of the fun), we steer clear of anything overly violent or traumatizing. It’s an ideal Halloween experience for families, schools, churches, and communities looking to celebrate the season with laughter and light-hearted chills.

Indoor Setup: Behind Closed Doors!

When hosted indoors, we arrive about three hours before showtime and set up five spooky stations plus an entranceway. Each station is a fully decorated scene with its own mini story and special effects. Your guests are guided through the attraction by our very own Clyde P. Riddlesbrood—a ghostly, theatrical host who brings humor, charm, and a touch of fright to every moment. This format works best in venues that have multiple rooms or areas, such as banquet facilities, churches, community centers, and country clubs.

Under the Moon’s Gaze: Terrors Beneath the Tents

We also arrive 3 hours ahead of time. If your event is outdoors, we bring five 10x10 pop-up tents to serve as the spooky stations. Each tent is transformed into a unique haunted scene with lighting, sound, and props. We also set up a themed entrance tent to kick off the haunted tour with flair. Parks, fairgrounds, fields, backyards—even a street fair—any large outdoor space works. We bring all necessary equipment to create a self-contained haunted experience on-site.

How It Works

We bring guests through in groups of 5 to 15 people. Each walk-through takes about 15 minutes. With two guides (two "Clydes"), we can accommodate up to 30 people every 15 minutes—or roughly 125 people per hour. The standard haunt runs for three hours, but you can add extra time if needed for an additional fee per hour. We handle everything—setup, operation, and breakdown—so you don’t have to. When the haunt is done, we clean up and disappear like ghosts. Your space is left exactly the way we found it. All you need to provide is the space and the crowd. We take care of the rest.

NOTE: It is quite common for us to do an early run of the haunted tour for kids while the sun is still in the sky.  This makes if better for the littlest in the group.  Ask us more if you would like this option.
