Legend has it that America's least acclaimed playwright, Clyde P. Riddlesbrood, spun this yarn while recovering from dengue fever in a jungle infirmary somewhere in the Caribees.

Early in his career, Clyde P. Riddlesbrood became enamored of the historical novels of Sir Walter Scott, but late in life, he became obsessed with the Maltese Falcon school of detective story writing. In his last known semi-coherent play, Riddlesbrood combined the two, sending a film noir private eye back in time to save a Cinderellesque princess accused of murder. The result is a not-so-guilty pleasure that will have you shouting, "Wassail!"

Mystery shrouds this Clyde P. Riddlesbrood carbonated confection. Some say that Riddlesbrood could not have written it, as he would have been 107 years old when it was discovered in the back seat of a 1957 Chevy. Others insist that Clyde's disinherited son, Cy Marlowe Riddlesbrood, cobbled the play together from a pile of incoherent notes that the elder riddlesbrood bequeathed to his alma mater, the Smithville Middle School for Savants. The typically thin Riddlesbroodian plot conserns a lonely prom queen, a robot, and a teen angel sent to solve a mystery. It all sets up an evening of great doo wop songs and more silly jokes than a 50's sitcom.
