In addition to performing full shows, Riddlesbrood also offers a wide variety of other services such as themed walkabout and strolling characters. Dressed for whatever occasion or motif, our characters can epitomize the Old West, spooky scenarios, Victorian types, Medieval knights and ladies, or denizens of the Arabian nights; the actors will actively mingle with your guests in character with all the appropriate accents and mannerisms.We can also provide singing minstrels, face painters, balloon animal makers, stilt walkers and other characters if you desire. In addition to trade shows, parades, and outdoor fairs, our characters will do wonders for any banquet, corporate event, Halloween, or Christmas occasion.

A walkabout character is quite simply an actor dressed in a specific costume or one of your choice (Western, Victorian, Spooky, etc) that will walk around and mingle with your customers during an event. The actor will use an appropriate accent and adopt any back-story you might want. Normal uses for this service are to attract attention to a booth at a trade show, adding more entertainment to a banquet or party, or increasing value to another event (having strolling characters before an actual show for instance).  Walkabout characters are not recommended for large outdoor venues, it is best to use an activity character (See Below).

Average Price: $100/Actor for 2 hours. $50 each additional hour.*

An activity character is similar to a walkabout character, but they have an interactive gimmick that they employ. Activities can range from stilt walking, strolling minstrels that play instruments, face painters, and balloon-animal makers. Some other uses are outdoor lawn games, pool game coordinators, etc. Activity Characters are recommended for outdoor activities and large venues where only a small amount of people will be able to hear or see the character at a time such as a trade show, farm fair, art show, parade, or a large party.
Average Price: $250/Actor for 2 hours. $75 each additional hour.*
